The 'Belgarum' Bee Orchid, a rare variant of the regular Bee Orchid that occurs on the Eastern outskirts of Winchester.
It was originally called False Trollii. (this being false wasp), untill it was renamed from the Roman name for Winchester;
Venta Belgarum. When I saw these plants they were on a roundabout an the central reservation of a duall-caridgeway.
I have also heard of them occuring above Portsmouth.
