Somerset Orchids.
Most of the Somerset plants will be the same as the Dorset ones, but there are a few exceptions. There are also some superb sites to be visited here.

Early Purple and Green-veined orchids at Hardington Moor

Hardington Moor. This is a superb site for Early Purple and Green-veined orchids. A visit in late April or early May would be rewarded by three fields that are covered in these beautiful plants.
The moor can be found a few miles West of Yeovil, between the villages of West Coker and Hardington Mandeville.
